The police officer is suspended from his duties after a "thorough review of additional information" about the incident, the police announce, reports BBC.
The Manchester police state that armed police officers had previously been knocked to the ground as they attempted to make an arrest following a fight at the airport. The incident occurred on Tuesday evening.
On Wednesday, hundreds of people protested outside Rochdale police station outside Manchester due to the incident. The police state that they can understand "deep concerns and anxiety" from the public after the video spread.
