The ambulance was called, but the police officer is not seriously injured.
He has been X-rayed and it appears to be mainly muscle injuries. But he is, of course, shaken, says police spokesperson Thomas Fuxborg.
The alarm about the collision came just after 11 am. The police conducted a sobriety test on site, and the theory is that the man tried to evade it. Initially, the driver of the van was close to hitting a man and his eight-year-old daughter, who had to throw themselves to the side.
It was when the police were going to check on the father and daughter that he was hit, and it is perceived as intentional, says Thomas Fuxborg.
The police have, through cameras on site, been able to see how the black van drove away towards E20. However, it was not possible to see whether the vehicle disappeared west- or eastbound on the road.
The police have still not located either the van or the driver, who is described as an older man with glasses.
An investigation has been initiated regarding attempted aggravated assault on the father and daughter, aggravated violence against a public official, gross negligence in traffic, hit-and-run, gross bodily harm, and failure to stop on police command.
