Last Sunday, Gary O'Neil was sacked as head coach of Premier League club Wolverhampton.
It is now clear that Vítor Pereira will take over. The Portuguese has signed an 18-month contract with the football club, which is second to last in the Premier League table.
"This is a challenging time for the club, and we would like to thank Vítor for taking on the responsibility. We have full confidence in his ability to get us back on track, together with the players and staff, and the entire club will stand behind him in the pursuit of success," says chairman Jeff Shi to the club's website.
Pereira comes most recently from the Saudi club al-Shabab.
