Money is probably one of ex-Beatle, musician and world artist Paul McCartney's absolute smallest concerns. Now, however, he is being awarded a five-kronor coin, a collector's coin.

The now 82-year-old musician, worth a billion pounds, has himself assisted the British mint in the design. There is a psychedelic magical piano from the film "The Magical Mystery Tour" from 1967, a bass guitar (McCartney's primary instrument), notes and the logo from his own band Wings.

Our coins capture and commemorate the greatest icons and events in British history. So it is fitting that Paul McCartney's remarkable musical career is now recognized on an official British coin, says Rebecca Morgan, department head at the mint.
