The USA will stop supporting Ukraine, guesses Hungary's Prime Minister Viktor Orbán after Donald Trump's victory in the presidential election.

If Donald Trump had won in 2020 in the USA, these two nightmare years would never have occurred. There would not have been any war, says Orbán in an appearance on Hungarian radio on Friday, according to the AP news agency.

The situation at the front is obvious: it is a military defeat. The Americans will pull out of this war, says Orbán.

The Hungarian Prime Minister is currently hosting two days of European top meetings in Budapest and claims that more and more European countries are switching to the "peace camp". However, Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) notes that EU countries continue to strongly support Ukraine.

It is equally manifest support as before for Ukraine. Peace can only be achieved on Ukraine's terms, says Kristersson in Budapest.
