The death toll is rising after the recent flooding in the monsoon-affected areas in northern Pakistan.
Since Thursday, the monsoon rain has caused flooding and landslides. Entire villages have been swept away and people have been buried under debris and demolished houses. At least 392 people have died and efforts are still ongoing to excavate bodies, according to the authorities on Tuesday.
Only in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which is located on the northwestern border with Afghanistan, have 356 people died.
The authorities are also warning of more flooding in the coming days.
Since the monsoon rain began in June, at least 706 people have died. The monsoon rain is expected to continue until mid-September.
