A woman in her 80s has died in a head-on collision on the E6 in Munkedal municipality.
The accident occurred at around 1 pm on Wednesday when one of the cars is believed to have been driving in the wrong direction and collided head-on with another car.
Two people were taken to hospital after the accident. The police later announced that the woman had died.
The condition of the other person is unclear, but earlier reports indicated that the person was awake and able to speak.
We will be investigating the circumstances surrounding this accident going forward and have currently classified it as reckless driving, says police spokesperson Fredrik Svedemyr.
