The air defense around the city was active during the night and remnants of shot-down projectiles hit several different city districts. A few more people have been injured.

At one impact site, passersby and police are seen taking care of a civilian-dressed man who lies lifeless among debris on the street.

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyj, who has increasingly actively presented various proposals ahead of potential peace talks, notes the night's attack and points to Russia's President Vladimir Putin.

"Putin is not preparing for peace – he continues to kill Ukrainians and destroy cities. Only powerful measures and pressure on Russia can stop this terror", Zelenskyj writes on social media.

During the night, Russia fired six ballistic missiles and more than 70 attack drones against Ukraine, according to the Ukrainian air force.
