The national team has posted a clip on Instagram where Kristoffer Olsson hugs several of his former national teammates.
Go hard, you too, he says.
Before the match, Olsson also received applause from the audience at the arena.
"I'm really happy to be on site in Sweden, Stockholm, and at Strawberry Arena now! Great to meet both coaches and most players I know from before. Incredible nice memories from here!", says Olsson in a statement from the football national team.
In February, Olsson suffered from several blood clots in the brain due to an extremely rare inflammation in the brain's vessels. He was treated for a while in a respirator at a hospital in Danish Aarhus before he could be moved to a center focused on advanced rehabilitation of neurological diseases.
In August, the 29-year-old could move home again. Olsson wants to return to the football pitch again and has been able to train individually during the autumn.
"Now I'm training in the club and from January, I'll go full out and be in matches again. So we'll see if and when I'm in the national team again! Big thanks for all the support!", says Olsson.
