I and Maic ourselves have joked about that, "why are we doing this, why should we do this?", says Olsson to Radiosporten.
It is the professional boxer Agit Bilge who has invited Olsson to participate, and Bilge himself will also be doing an exhibition match during the event.
I thought it sounded like a fun thing, and then I have done a training session with him (Bilge) and had contact with him. There is no seriousness in it and I and Maic are teammates, so we will try not to hurt each other too much, says Olsson.
A year and a half ago, the 30-year-old collapsed in his home after being affected by blood clots in the brain and was put into a coma. A month ago, Olsson made his comeback in a competitive context in football.
Now he will be boxing, and is not worried about blows to the head.
I have not even thought about that. It is the same with football, where you can get a ball in the head and it is nothing that I am afraid of. Then I think that I and Maic will be very friendly towards each other. Then maybe you get knocked out, but I do not think I will die from it, says Olsson.
