According to the newspaper, the staff was informed during a meeting on Wednesday afternoon.
Northvolt has informed employees within the Materials business unit that the company intends to implement a reduction in staff. We have also reported this to the Employment Service. The proposed changes will now be subject to trade union negotiations, says Northvolt's communications manager Matti Kataja to Norran.
According to Kataja, a total of around 90 people within the Materials business unit are affected. The business unit has a total of around 430 employees within different parts of Northvolt's operations and at all locations where the company operates.
