Sarah Sjöström took her second win in two days in the Sette Colli grand tournament in Rome.
After having won the 50m butterfly convincingly on Midsummer's Eve, it became a bit tighter on the 100m freestyle. Sjöström turned as second behind Siobhan Haughey, Hong Kong, but was then strongest towards the finish.
Sjöström won with a time of 52.57 – 21 hundredths ahead of Haughey. For Michelle Coleman, it was a fourth place with a time of 53.63.
Earlier on Saturday evening, there was also a Swedish win on the 100m butterfly, where Louise Hansson swam to the finish with a time of 57.34.
The swimming events at the Paris Olympics will begin in just over a month.
