During the night to Sunday, Russia attempted to attack Kiev with drones for the fifth time in two weeks, according to the Ukrainian defense.
There are no reports of anyone being injured, writes the head of the military administration, Serhij Popko, on Telegram.
Popko said that the "systematic drone attacks" show that Russia is "testing new tactics, searching for new flight routes to the capital and trying to reveal where our air defense is located".
Ukraine's air defense system destroyed 35 of the 39 drones and two cruise missiles that Russia had fired overnight, according to Ukraine's air force on Telegram. The attacks, which have not been commented on by Russia, are said to have targeted ten Ukrainian regions.
