Elon Musk's own AI robot points out the X owner himself as the largest spreader of misinformation on the platform, reports Fortune.
The AI service Grok, which is trained by posts on X, answers Musk when a user asks "Who personally spreads the most misinformation on X?"
Grok writes that "Musk's statements on X have repeatedly been criticized for contributing to the spread of false information". The X owner has, according to Grok, "shared or supported" posts containing misinformation on topics such as elections, health, and others. Grok specifically mentions the recently concluded presidential election as an example.
Grok, however, "protects" its creator in the sense that the answer also includes the caveat that Musk operates in a larger ecosystem where "misinformation thrives".
On the other hand, Grok notes that while "Musk and others" claim to be exercising free speech, "the effect of their posts is in line with misinformation".
