It has been clear since earlier that Andy Murray is ending his career after the summer's OS in Paris. Now, the tennis star announces that he is withdrawing from the singles tournament to focus solely on doubles.
In doubles, he will compete alongside Dan Evans, which will be his last tournament in his career.
I have made the decision to withdraw from the singles tournament to focus on doubles with Dan. Our training sessions have been good and we have played well together. I really look forward to starting and getting to represent Great Britain one last time, he says.
