+ The shooting occurred on the premises of Campus Risbergska, which is the center for municipal adult education in Örebro. The alarm came shortly after 12:30 pm on Tuesday.
+ Students were locked in, i.e. forced to stay indoors, in the school in question, as well as in nearby schools. They were able to leave the schools late in the afternoon.
+ Work is underway to identify the deceased persons.
+ The suspected perpetrator was previously unknown to the police and has no connection to any criminal gang.
+ There are currently no suspicions that it is a terrorist crime. But no motive has been clarified.
+ No police officer was shot in connection with the incident, according to the police.
+ Region Örebro reported on Tuesday afternoon that six injured patients had been taken to the emergency department at Örebro University Hospital, five of whom had gunshot wounds. Four of the gunshot victims had been operated on, and the fifth was deemed to have minor injuries. The sixth person was also deemed to have minor injuries. The police later stated that the number of injured is unclear.
