The number of unemployed academics increased by 33 percent in July compared to the same month last year, according to new statistics from Akademikernas a-kassa.
"Unemployment always increases during the summer, but there are significantly more unemployed this summer than last", says Alexandra Oljans Ahlin, communicator at Akademikernas a-kassa, in a press release.
In total, 2.1 percent of members were unemployed in July, a low figure in relation to total unemployment.
