The strategy is being presented by Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson in Helsingborg.
The Moderates want to intensify work against serious criminals who control crime in Sweden from abroad. The party wants the EU to impose requirements on crime prevention and legal cooperation on candidate countries that want to become members.
The Moderates also want to see a new "crime strategy" for Swedish aid. Aid should be used to build up the recipient country's justice system, but the countries receiving the aid should also fully cooperate with Sweden on issues related to crime and punishment.
