Sara Algotsson Ostholt is forced to decline participation in the summer's Olympic Games in Paris, reports DN. Alongside her horse Dynamite Jack, she was a contender in eventing – but that will not be the case.
Today, we had Jack's veterinary check, after he wasn't entirely okay after the dressage in Luhmühlen. Now he's trotting well. However, unfortunately, he has a minimal injury, which means I'd rather refrain from competing at the Olympic Games in Paris than risk his future health and wellbeing, says Sara Algotsson Ostholt according to the Swedish Equestrian Federation
Algotsson Ostholt took silver in eventing at the Olympic Games in London 2012.
The Olympic Games in Paris begin on 26 July, and the Swedish team in eventing will be provisionally selected on 29 June.
