The series is produced by the Irish TV company RTÉ and follows the sisters Anna, Rachel, Maggie, Claire, and Helen.
The first book, "Watermelon", was published in 1995 in English and 1998 in Swedish. The latest in the series, "All the Beautiful Mistakes", was published by Norstedts just over a month ago.
"This is so exciting! I've got to read the script and love how they've preserved the tone from the books", says Keyes in a statement.
This is not the first time Keyes' books about one of the Walsh sisters are adapted into TV. In 2003, "Watermelon" became a TV film starring Anna Friel in the lead role. In 1999, her standalone novel "When Lucy Sullivan Got Married" also became a TV series.
Marian Keyes' books have sold over 30 million copies and been translated into 33 languages.
