At least 22 people are reported to have been injured in an explosion at the classic racing track Nürburgring in western Germany.
The blast occurred on Friday evening and is believed to have been caused by an exploding compressed air bottle, according to, among others, the German news site dw.com.
The injured were taken to hospital, some by helicopter, according to a spokesperson for the facility. Some of them have serious injuries, reports local police, who are now investigating the incident.
