At least 19 people have drowned in a boat accident in a river in the Amhara region of Ethiopia. The boat capsized and sank on Saturday, according to regional media.
26 people are estimated to have been on board, and seven people, including a child, were rescued, reports AFP. Only two bodies have been found.
The boat was carrying passengers across the Tekeze River, which runs along Ethiopia's border with Eritrea before crossing into Sudan.
