Eight people have been killed and 17 injured in a knife attack at a vocational school in the city of Wuxi in eastern China on Saturday evening, according to the police.
The suspect, a 21-year-old male student, was arrested on the spot.
The police state in a statement that the student had failed his exams and therefore could not graduate, and that he was dissatisfied with his salary at an internship. He decided to vent his frustrations through the attack, according to the statement.
This is the second deadly attack in China within a week, after a man drove his car into a crowd at a sports facility in the southern city of Zhuhai, which led to 35 people being killed and 43 injured.
