A 35-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder of a woman in a location in Jämtland on Monday evening, according to the police.
The woman, who is 45 years old, has been taken to hospital by ambulance. The police cannot say how seriously injured she is, but she is conscious.
The police do not want to give any further details, citing secrecy.
The incident is also being investigated as unlawful detention. The man and woman have a relationship and the assault is said to have taken place indoors.
The suspected crime scene is to be examined.
