A man in his 20s was seriously injured in what the police describe as a serious violent crime in Norrköping during the night leading up to Sunday. The incident is classified as attempted murder.

The alarm came in just before 01 and when the patrol arrived at the scene, an unconscious man was found and taken to hospital by ambulance.

The injured man was found in the Lindö area after several alarms about a disturbance at the location. The man was injured with a sharp object, according to the police. The condition of the victim is described as serious but stable.

A man also in his 20s has been arrested as a suspect.

Some kind of fight has broken out, but what has happened is something that the investigation is looking into. We have conducted a technical investigation during the night, says police spokesperson Angelica Forsberg.

The incident being investigated as attempted murder is believed to have taken place outdoors in connection with a party.

Now it's about interviewing people and forming an opinion about what has happened, says Forsberg.
