A man in Kungsbacka municipality has been convicted of several serious sexual offences against children. He is now sentenced to eleven years' imprisonment for, among other things, aggravated rape of a child on 75 occasions, local media report.
The prosecutor in the case has previously stated that the man gained the trust of a family to babysit a girl – instead, he raped her.
According to the verdict, the rapes took place over a period of more than six years and occurred, among other places, at a campsite.
The man admits to some of the assaults. He is also sentenced to pay damages of over 1.2 million kronor to the girl, according to SVT Halland.
