We received an alarm about an ongoing crime in the Berget district of Norrköping at 22.26 and when the patrol arrived at the scene, the man was found severely injured, says Mats Pettersson, the police's press spokesperson.

The man was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

There is no doubt that it is a murder, but I cannot say at present how he got his injuries, says Mats Pettersson.

The man was found in central Norrköping in an area with many residences.

The crime occurred at a time when there are many people on the move, and there is reason to believe that people may have seen what happened, so I don't want to say more in order not to disturb the investigation, says Mats Pettersson.

The police have cordoned off a large area and a large number of resources are working on the scene.

At around 01.40, two men were arrested.

There are two men arrested in the investigation. One man is suspected of murder and the other is suspected of aiding and abetting murder. I will not go into more details right now, says Camilla Larsson, duty officer at the police region East.
