Alarm about an ongoing crime in the Berget district of Norrköping reached the police at around 22:30 on Monday evening. A man in his 20s was found severely injured. The man was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

He has been subjected to a serious crime. We cannot go into details about how it happened, but we naturally have an idea about it, says Mats Pettersson, the police's press spokesperson to TT.

The crime victim is from Norrköping, according to the police. Relatives have been informed. Whether the crime is linked to gang criminality, the police do not want to disclose.

It's too early to establish that, says Pettersson.

Two people were arrested later that night at 01:40.

They were arrested in Norrköping. The arrest went smoothly, he says.

The cordons around the crime scene have now been lifted. But the police are working at full capacity to investigate the incident.

A thorough investigation is underway. Findings and traces that have been secured, seizures that have been made will be investigated, and we will conduct interviews throughout the day.
