A man in his 30s has been detained, suspected of gross general endangerment, following the explosion in a gate on Nordhemsgatan in central Gothenburg, the police write on their website.
The residential building suffered significant damage in connection with the powerful explosion, which occurred on Friday night. However, no one was physically injured.
The address in the Linné district is located adjacent to the pub strip along the so-called long streets in Gothenburg. Normally, many people move around in the area.
