A man has been arrested and a woman has been taken to hospital by ambulance after an assault during the night, the police write on their website.
Several police patrols were alerted to the campsite in Västerås at around 2 am, where an injured woman was found. The man, who is said to have a relationship with the woman, had left the scene but was later arrested and subsequently detained.
He is suspected of aggravated assault, alternatively attempted murder.
The police currently have no information about the woman's condition.
