It is the final ride for electric scooters also in Madrid. The Spanish capital is banning, from October, the rental of the vehicles. They are considered a danger to pedestrians.
"Our priority is the safety of Madrid's citizens", writes Mayor José Luis Martínez-Almeida Navasqüés on X and accuses the three companies that are currently allowed to rent out electric scooters of serious security breaches.
Paris, Montréal, and Melbourne are other cities that have already completely or partially banned electric scooters.
