Low confidence in the economy in the eurozone

The sentiment among investors in the eurozone is at its lowest level since the beginning of the year, according to the Sentix index.

The average index fell to minus 15.4 in September, compared to minus 13.9 in August. Analysts had expected an index of minus 12.2 percent, according to Bloomberg.

The sub-index for the current situation fell to minus 22.5 from minus 19 in August. As for future expectations, there was a slight increase – from minus 8.8 in August to minus 8.0 in September.

The index measures confidence in economic activity in the currency area.
