The construction company Skanska has signed an agreement with the transportation authority in the state of New York for the construction of, among other things, a new railway bridge.
The value of the order amounts to approximately 6.3 billion kronor, the company announces in a press release.
"The new bridge will enable high-speed trains for both passengers and freight traffic, and provide pedestrians and cyclists with safer and better opportunities to cross the Hudson River", writes Skanska in the press release.
The work began in May and is expected to be completed in March 2028.
