Finland's President Alexander Stubb, Norway's Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, and Denmark's Prime Minister Mette Fredriksen have all already spoken with Trump and congratulated him on his election victory.

It is still unclear when Ulf Kristersson will speak with Trump.

We are discussing when the conversation will take place. The important thing is that we get a conversation that also has good content, says Kristersson.

He wants to discuss, among other things, free trade issues and Ukraine, as well as more specific Swedish-American issues.

It's about North Korea, where Sweden is also a protecting power for the USA, which is especially important now that North Korea is physically participating on Russia's side in the war against Ukraine.

He also mentions industrial issues, such as defense cooperation, and points out that the Jas 39 Gripen is half American in content.

What is the most important thing you want to say?

The most important thing is, of course, to emphasize that Sweden and the USA have, regardless of governments, had a very close cooperation for a very long time, says Kristersson.

That several other Nordic leaders have managed to speak with Trump before him does not seem to worry the Prime Minister.

I note that some are a bit eager now. We have a lot to talk about and I want to be well prepared for the conversations.
