Italian authorities are trying to identify the young woman, likely a tourist, who was seen kissing and making sexual movements towards a statue of the winged god Bacchus in Florence over the weekend.
The country's Ministry of Culture has expressed its anger over the incident and wants the woman to be fined for the act, which is a violation of the "misuse of cultural heritage" regulation, according to CNN.
Italian authorities also want her to be banned from Florence for life.
