The father was killed outside his home on March 22 last year. It was the son himself who raised the alarm and claimed that the father had been stabbed by two unknown perpetrators.
The information was questioned early on by the police and the suspicions were directed instead towards the son, who was prosecuted in December 2024.
According to the district court, the circumstances surrounding the murder were so serious that a life sentence is justified. The court bases this on the fact that the murder can be seen as brutal, as the son stabbed his father's upper body ten times, but also that the act caused the father severe pain and must have made him feel intense fear of death.
In addition to the prison sentence, the son is to pay damages to his mother and sister, writes Malmö district court in a press release.
