The forest fire on Järvafältet outside Stockholm is under control, writes Järfälla municipality on its website. Since the ground is overheated, there is an "imminent" danger to the public.
The area is still cordoned off. According to Järfälla municipality, "some adjustments" to the cordons have been made during Monday. The rescue service has sprinkler systems and pumps in operation.
VMA, important message to the public, is still issued for the municipalities of Järfälla and Sollentuna. According to Kim Hellberg, control operator at Rescue Center Mitt, it is unclear how long it will remain in place.
It's still burning a little in the ground and it's an area with old ammunition that hasn't exploded, he says.
According to Hellberg, there is no risk that the fire will spread.
