Police Report 88 Cases of Verbal Abuse Against Officials Since New Law

So far, the police have handled 88 reported cases of insult against public official since the new law was introduced on July 2, according to figures from the Police Authority.

Of these, one case has been forwarded to the prosecutor for possible prosecution while seven cases have been closed.

Most reports have been made in the western region, with 21 cases, followed by the southern region with 17 reports and the Stockholm region with 16 reports.
