The victim, a 26-year-old man, is said to have been shot with about 20 shots from two different weapons on a bike path in the Fröslunda district.
The man who is convicted was 16 years old at the time of the incident, and has denied the murder.
The evidence against him includes, among other things, that his DNA was found on one of the murder weapons, that he was in the vicinity when the shots were fired, and SMS that showed that he had planned to shoot the 26-year-old for a long time before the murder.
Among the evidence are also texts to rap songs where the 19-year-old, according to Eskilstuna District Court, has written about the shooting. In one of the texts, the victim is mentioned by name and he mentions several details that match the murder, including that the victim was found shot on a path.
”The District Court considers it obvious that the text refers to the murder of NN, in light of the fact that he is named and that it is also referred to in this text to details that characterize the murder”, the court writes in its judgment.
If the man had been 18 at the time of the incident, he would have been sentenced to life imprisonment. Due to his young age at the time of the murder, the sentence is set to six years in prison.
The murder is linked to a gang conflict in Eskilstuna.
