A woman from Karlstad has been arrested by Värmlands district court, suspected of rape, which NWT was the first to report on. Since earlier, a man has been arrested for the same crime, writes SVT Värmland.
The investigation concerns crimes against intellectually disabled persons. The suspicion now concerns one crime occasion and there is one plaintiff. But we believe that there are more plaintiffs and it may also lead to more suspects, says prosecutor Lena Bohlin to SVT Värmland.
It is expected to be a fairly extensive investigation.
The current rape is said to have taken place last autumn in Karlstad municipality.
The prosecutor tells SVT that the suspects have not worked at residences for intellectually disabled persons, or that it is about any form of dependency relationship.
According to NWT, the woman has been arrested on probable cause, which is the stronger suspicion degree.
