The Swedish skiing star Frida Karlsson will not be joining the national team's camp in Trondheim, Norway. She will not be participating in the competitions during Toppidrettsveka either. The reason is an overload in one of her feet.
This is announced by the Swedish Ski Association. National team coach Stefan Thomson comments:
"It's about an overload on soft tissues that need some relief. Given that we are in an important training period and have a high-altitude camp in Lavazè three weeks ahead, we see no disadvantage in being extra cautious at this point – even if it would be possible to compete."
Karlsson will instead continue with alternative training at home, as preparation for the high-altitude camp.
