"I get so saddened to hear that Marianne Faithfull has died. She was such a big part of my life for so long. She was a wonderful friend, a beautiful singer and a great actress. She will always be remembered", writes Jagger on Instagram.
Even Keith Richards mourns the singer's death in social media.
"I am so sad and will miss her", says the guitarist on X, formerly Twitter.
Marianne Faithfull passed away on Thursday, 78 years old. Mick Jagger and Keith Richards were two of the songwriters behind her breakthrough hit "As tears go by", 1964.
Between 1966 and 1970, Marianne Faithfull had a relationship with Mick Jagger. In addition to her career as a singer, she also worked as an actress.
