The hiphop phenomenon Ant Wan will stop making music. He announced this suddenly in the spring. Friday's concert at Dream Park in Pildammsparken in Malmö would thus be the last.
"The whole thing becomes a fairly strange experience. The difference in intensity on and in front of the stage is namely noticeable", writes Expressen's reviewer Anders Dahlbom.
"Mostly he sits down, sings the beginning of lyrics that enthusiastic fans then take over. It reminds a bit of Kanye West's most introspective period, minus the energy", he continues.
Also Sydsvenskan thinks that Ant Wan lets the emotional audience do the job.
"Ant Wan himself seems unaffected by the situation. He moves back and forth at the front in the middle of the stage and barely acknowledges the audience, even though they make his last day at work very easy for him", writes Oscar Gruvberger.
The artist still manages to create an "intensive and warm atmosphere where hit after hit is lined up", he thinks. And when the approximately one-hour-long concert approaches its end, Ant Wan plays a new song and hints that there may be more.
"Everyone knows that this kind of musical farewell is not to be trusted. A last stop for all artists is actually a question mark. For recent evidence, study Lex Kent from earlier this year", writes Dahlbom.
