The strike began on Friday and led to major disruptions in Norwegian air traffic this weekend, which also affected some Swedish flights.

According to the agreement now reached between the parties, the air traffic controllers will return to work as soon as possible.

The strike was in protest against wages and working conditions, and the settlement will include a wage increase in line with the benchmark in the Norwegian labour market.

We are now doing everything we can to get air traffic back to normal as quickly as possible, but there may still be some after-effects and delays for some time to come, says Abraham Foss, CEO of the Norwegian state-owned airport operator Avinor.
