The Israeli military destroyed "several buildings" in Jenin on the occupied West Bank on Sunday.
The houses were "infrastructure for terrorism", the military writes in a statement.
According to the Palestinian news agency Wafa, the Israeli forces destroyed around 20 houses in a simultaneous detonation in a refugee camp in eastern Jenin, and the blast was heard throughout Jenin and "in nearby cities".
Large-scale operations
The operation is part of "Operation Iron Wall", which the military launched on January 14. According to the Jerusalem Post, at least 50 people have been killed and 100 arrested in operations in and around the smaller town of Tammun, northeast of Nablus. It is not clear exactly when this happened, but according to the military, a large number of weapons were found and hundreds of explosive devices were destroyed.
The military states, according to the newspaper, that "Operation Iron Wall" and "the work to thwart terrorism" will continue.
On Saturday, two attacks were directed against Jenin, and the air force claims to have struck and "eliminated a terrorist cell that was on its way to carry out an immediate terrorist attack" in Qabatiya.
The Palestinian Health Authority reported on Saturday evening that five people, including a 16-year-old, were killed in Israeli attacks on Jenin.
Attacked vehicle in Gaza
In Gaza, five people were injured on Sunday when Israel attacked a vehicle from the air. Among the injured was a child, whose condition is reported to be critical.
Israel's military says it attacked the vehicle because it passed a border post on its way north, which violates the ceasefire. Israel claims to remain committed to honoring the ceasefire.
