Shot down
Most of the rockets were shot down by Israeli air defense, but some fell and were discovered on Israeli soil.
All of them were fired from Lebanon, according to the military.
Air raid sirens sounded in large areas, mainly in Galilee in northwestern Israel, during the early evening hours.
The Iran-backed Shia group Hezbollah said earlier on Friday that it had carried out a drone attack against a military base in Haifa in northern Israel. The attack was a response to Israeli attacks on the militia's strongholds in Lebanon, according to Hezbollah.
The Lebanese government reported that two of its soldiers had been killed in an Israeli attack on a military post in Kafra in southern Lebanon. The attack has not been commented on by the Israeli military.
