The police have initiated a preliminary investigation into incitement against a ethnic group following a manifestation at Möllevångstorget in Malmö on Sunday.
It is alleged that derogatory statements were made against Jews, says Nils Norling, the police's press spokesperson in Malmö.
On social media, it appears that the statement was made in connection with a pro-Palestinian demonstration. In a video clip, a speaker can be heard talking about the state of Israel and that "it is in their genes to kill people".
The report was filed by a private individual. It is now being investigated by the police's special group against democracy-threatening crimes.
