At least seven people have been killed and around twenty injured in a Russian artillery attack on the Donetsk region in eastern Ukraine.
In the town of Komar, a 32-year-old woman was killed and 20 were injured by artillery fire that also destroyed homes, shops, and administrative buildings, according to the governor of the region, Vadim Filasjkin.
Five more people were killed and eight injured in the town of Selydove, according to Filasjkin. The town is located near the front line where Russian forces are advancing, he says. Additionally, one person was killed and one injured in the town of Ukrainsk.
"It's dangerous to stay here, just like in the rest of the Donetsk region", he said on social media.
Further north in the Donetsk region, Russian forces are approaching the town of Chasiv Yar, near Bachmut. Images from Ukrainian forces show rows of destroyed buildings from the Soviet era.
