The Purchasing Managers' Index for the manufacturing industry in the eurozone in June is adjusted up to 45.8. This can be compared to a preliminary calculation of 45.6.
However, despite the adjustment, the brakes are on in European industry. An index value below 50 indicates decreased activity in the sector.
The German manufacturing industry's Purchasing Managers' Index for June has also been slightly increased, to 43.5, compared to a preliminary calculation of 43.4. The French figure is also adjusted up a notch, to 45.4 from 45.3.
Italy's manufacturing industry is also decreasing in activity. There, the Purchasing Managers' Index for June lands at 45.7. This can be compared to 45.6 in May and expectations of 44.3.
