According to figures from payment giant Klarna, which handles payments for around half of Swedish e-commerce. The increase applies to the period from Monday to 06:00 on Friday.
"We have not seen such a strong increase in e-commerce during Black Week in several years. The purchasing power of Swedish consumers appears to have recovered due to interest rate cuts and decreased inflation", says Björn Bryngelson, Nordic CEO at Klarna, in a comment.
Among the most shopped products are Apple gadgets, PlayStation, robot vacuum cleaners, and nail polish. However, the largest sales during Black Week usually occur on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
The trade organization Svensk Handel expects sales during Black Week this year to reach 9.7 billion kronor. This is a significant increase from last year, when sales landed at 8.7 billion kronor.
